New To Calvary Chapel

WELCOME! We’re glad you are taking the opportunity to check out who we are at Calvary Chapel of Casa Grande. The easy answer would be that we are:

  • Individuals on a journey together in fellowship with Jesus Christ;
  • A group diverse in age, race, socio-economic standing, religious experience and non-experience;
  • Singles, marrieds, singles again, with kids, no kids and kids grown up;
  • People that enjoy being challenged in our everyday life by the solid Truth of the Word of God.

We face issues and problems, tragedies and victories, together looking for answers that are true and relevant. We find these answers in a real and growing relationship with Jesus Christ the Son of God, being empowered and directed by the Holy Spirit of God.

Our Vision and Mission is four fold:

We are Evangelical – therefore “We Seek to Win the Lost" - there is a desire to share the Gospel message in a real and relatable way to those within our circle of influence. (Matthew 28:19-20)

We are Biblical – therefore “We Seek to Equip the Saints” - the true strength of any Church is not in the number, but the depth of the people. The Bible is our source for encouragement, training and equipping for the people of God for the work of ministry that each are called to do. There is no other authority that supersedes the Word of God. (Ephesians 4:11-16; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We are Relational – therefore “We Seek to Mend the Brokenhearted” - it is as we kneel side-by-side and walk arm-in-arm with other Believers that we can find the healing and strength needed to make it through this world and the issues we face. The Bible speaks of us as a Family and as a Body – functioning together as individuals for the good of the whole. (Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)

We are Missional – therefore “We Seek to Touch the World for Jesus” - the impact of the Church in the first century was described as “turning the world upside down”. The truth is they turned the world “right side up”. This can continue as we reach outside the walls of the church building to our community, our nation and the world beyond. Our mission field is as close as our schools, neighborhoods and jobs, and as far away as the foreign countries and cultures around the world. (Matthew 28:19-20; the entire book of Acts)

What You'll Find

When you visit us at Calvary Chapel of Casa Grande you will find folks comfortable and casual. Some will be in shorts, tee shirts, and flip-flops, while other may have slacks, pressed shirts, or dresses. What matters most is the inside of an individual rather than the outside. Come comfortable, yet modest.

The Worship time will be a mixture of contemporary praise and worship along with some traditional hymns. Some songs will be fast and maybe a little loud while others will be soft and meditative – we find all of this in the Psalms! Our Worship is not a concert, but a combined choir of all who attend, singing to an audience of One.

The preaching time is primarily a teaching time through the Word of God. Calvarys are known worldwide for their style of teaching that is verse-by-verse through every book of the Bible. Although there may be times that we have a topical study, the primary focus is to give the whole counsel of God’s Word in a way that can be understood, applicable to where you are and challenging you to grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
