Pastor David Landry came to know the forgiveness and love of Jesus Christ during his senior year at Maryvale High School in Phoenix, Arizona. He felt the Lord's call on his life shortly after his conversion and began attending Grand Canyon University. It was there that he met Tot Marshall, who became his wife in April, 1972. They have two adult children, Eric (who lives in Southern California with his wife Sarah and their children) and Judy (who lives in Tennessee with her husband Mohammed and their children).
Pastor David was ordained to the ministry in 1978 while serving as Worship and Youth Leader at Greenway Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ. After serving for many years in lay ministries, part-time staff positions and as full-time assistant positions in both denominational and non-denominational churches, David and his family became involved with Calvary Chapel of Sierra Vista ( http://www.calvarysv.org/) , Arizona in 1988.
What began as very involved lay members of that fellowship was soon changed as David was asked to become an Assistant Pastor. After serving in that position for about three years, David and Tot felt the Lord's direction to begin a verse-by-verse Bible study in the Casa Grande area. In June of 1991, the Landry family moved to Casa Grande to begin Calvary Chapel of Casa Grande. |

James began playing piano by ear at a very early age and shortly after that began private piano lessons. He has been in love with music ever since. This love for music was further developed through his high school years as he began playing other instruments. Being raised in church and in a Christian home provided him with many opportunities for learning and leading worship music. James had training in music theory and composition during high school, and went on to study music at Southeastern Bible College, taking courses in sight-singing and ear-training.
James felt God’s call at an early age, but in 1987 joined the US Air Force. During his 22 years in the Air Force, James earned a BS in Business, attained the rank of Master Sergeant, traveled the world and most importantly, experienced a genuine personal revival. While in the Air Force, James decided once and for all to live for Jesus fully and completely. With this renewed heart-felt commitment to Christ, came a response to the call placed by God from earlier years. He began work as a worship leader during the mid-1990’s at Calvary, Tucson, Arizona. He has served as a worship leader for military chapel services and at Calvary, Waldorf, Maryland. While serving at Calvary, Waldorf James was ordained. Today, he is an Assistant Pastor here at Calvary, Casa Grande overseeing our worship music, seasonal choirs, student ministries (FORGE) and Discipleship Training School (DTS).
James and his wife, Tracey have been married for 25 years have 2 children. Their son, Logan is 21 and currently a full time student at Calvary Chapel Bible College. Their daughter, Taylor is 18 with plans to follow big brother to Calvary Chapel Bible College.
