There were some people who met one of Jesus’ followers, a man named Phillip. These people had a hunger for God, but had not yet met Jesus.
We believe that Casa Grande and the surrounding area is home to many people who wish to see Jesus.
We believe that God has uniquely placed the ministry of Calvary Chapel Casa Grande in this community to meet this spiritual hunger of so many people.
So we are building an addition to accommodate the growth of our church body.
Projects like this always go really slow, and then fast and then slow again. All our updates as they happen are below.
On May 21, we met with IPS, our AVL integrator. During the 5-hour meeting, we went through an 18-page “BOM.” (bill of materials) This was a line-item list of all the AVL equipment they wanted to offer to use based on our conversation in our discovery meeting. (See AVL update below, titled First Design)
We were able to decide on some things we didn’t need to save costs, but there is still work to be done to reduce costs further. Continue to pray for wisdom as we narrow down needs, wants, and nice-to-haves.
After getting an updated floor plan drawing from our architect on May 5th, we prayerfully looked through the design closely for a week. Then, on May 12th, we signed off on the floor plan with a couple of minor edits. Click the button below to check out the new drawings!
Now that we have given the green light, our GC will send our design to all the “disciplines” (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Drywall, Etc.) that will design the construction documents. There will still be a bidding process for the actual construction, allowing us to secure the best price. Our next big milestone will be “60% complete” construction documents on June 19th. We will also begin designing our AVL (Audio, Video, Lighting) with our integrator, IPS. Please continue to pray for the wisdom of everyone involved.
On March 18th, Ryan at Titus Building Company (our General Contractor) met with our architect to go over several changes to the floor plan to make the space more usable for our ministry needs. The Architect firm is hard at work making those changes a reality. This will take 4-6 weeks.
Also, during this time, we are searching for lending options to finance the project. The current estimate is around $2.3-2.5 million for the total project. Please continue to pray for wisdom and favor with everyone involved in the designing and lending.
February 25th, 2026 - The architect provided a new set of drawings based on design meetings in early February. These drawings would expand the space to almost 10,000 SQFT of new construction. Verses the 7,000 SQFT in the previous design.
March 5th, 2026 - An expanded group of Key staff members met with the Builder to discuss concerns and request changes to the design to better meet the needs of CalvaryKids, as well as adequate restrooms and lobby space.
At our State of the Church Meeting on Jan. 25th, 2026, we shared the first design provided by our architect. Key staff members meet with the builder and architect during February to refine and then redesign the space to save money and better meet your needs.
On January 6th, we had a great meeting with IPS, our AVL Integrator, called a discovery meeting. It was a full-day meeting where they asked us great questions about our desires for the new worship space and the culture of our service, worship, and teaching of the word. This will help them determine what we need in the space to provide a distraction-free environment.
There were a few services the church needed to contract with separately. One of those is AVL (Audio, Video, Lighting) for the sanctuary. After many conversations with several companies, we identified Integrated Production Services as the best option. We signed a design contract with them on November 17th, 2025.
Church leadership identified and started meeting with Ryan Dale with Titus Building Company, and his architect, Jared Malone with Associated Architects. After many meetings and prayerful consideration. On October 30th, 2025, the board signed a contract for the Pre-construction Services with Titus Building Company!
One of our members came to Pastor Pat with an idea. The idea, in short, was to add on to our current building. Instead of building on the lot next door. (Our dirt parking lot) After exploring the idea further, we discovered that a 7,000 square foot addition would give us everything we need—at a significantly lower cost than we first anticipated.
