“We wish to see Jesus.” (John 12:21)

There were some people who met one of Jesus’ followers, a man named Phillip. These people had a hunger for God, but had not yet met Jesus.

We believe that Casa Grande and the surrounding area is home to many people who wish to see Jesus.

We believe that God has uniquely placed the ministry of Calvary Chapel Casa Grande in this community to meet this spiritual hunger of so many people.

So we are building a new facility to accommodate the growth of our church body.

This likely will be a multi-phase project, with the first phase costing up to $3 million dollars and taking 2-3 years to complete.

UPDATES

Wednesday December 20th - Prayer Meeting
We held a special prayer meeting with our church where we shared some initial floor plan designs and ministry ideas and the need to raise the funds for this building project.

Then we prayed together that God would guide us and bless us in this endeavour.  We will be putting together several different committees to tackle different parts of this project.

Please continue to pray that God would guide and bless this build.
Tuesday December 19th - Charrette Complete
Over the course of three days we held a "Charrette" with our architect and builders. This process incorporated members of our pastoral and ministry teams sharing the vision for our church and what we think God is calling us to do in the future.

Our architect from Building God's Way Services put together an incredible plan that maximized our space beautifully and created new opportunities for us to serve our community we hadn't even thought of. We will be receiving full floor plans and 3D models early in 2024.
Nov 28th - A letter from founding Pastor David Landry

Dear Calvary Chapel Family
Although we have been retired from the ministry at CCCG now for three years, our love, thoughts, and prayers continue to be with you all. You are greatly loved and missed. However, it is so exciting to see and hear what God is doing in this season of the life of the church. It has been made clear that Pastor Pat has established his place and ministry at CCCG and the community of Casa Grande in a very firm and positive way. Once again showing us that he truly is God’s man for the position of Senior Pastor and the future of CCCG.
A few years prior to my retirement, we and the Board of Elders could see that God had a plan for additional growth of the ministry beyond my tenure as Senior Pastor. As the Board and I began to investigate the possibilities of what that growth would look like, we saw that our facilities had become insufficient for our current and future needs. Within the scope of the vision, we began to speak with the City of Casa Grande Building Department, surveyors, and designers in order to discover the possibilities of growth at our present location. With the acquisition of the property on the east side (which includes the Agape building), we now had enough space to build a new auditorium/educational building and parking.

Nov 26th - Architectural Firm Signed!

We are excited to announce that we have identified and signed a contract with an amazing firm to design our new building and lead the redesign process of the entire campus. They are called Building God’s Way and you can check out their portfolio of buildings and campuses they’ve worked on before.

We love their approach to designing and building churches, their focus on stewardship and ministry, and the heart they bring to the process. We have talked to other churches and professionals that have worked with them and have been quite impressed. We believe this is an important partnership as we seek to lift Jesus’ name high in our city.

To begin the design process, key leaders from our church will be meeting with them for a three day process, starting on December 11th. Please keep us in Prayer!

We have also identified the builder we intend to work with, Schifferer Built.

This is an amazing Christian firm led by Dean Shifferer who has been helping us think through this process over the past year. As we move forward, you will have an opportunity to meet Dean who is excited about using members of our church to contribute their time and talents in the actual construction, saving us significant cost.
Nov 19th -  Year-End Fundraising Goal
In order to secure a construction loan to get this process started, we need to end the year showing significant financial health. After meeting with potential lenders who are interested in funding this project we have determined that we need to raise $250,000 above our normal giving by the end of the year.

$250,000 is a God-sized ask. But we believe that he is calling our church to take this step in order to grow our capacity for ministry and reach people with the Gospel.
